The Tourism Industry in Ontario

Tourism is a $ 21.8 billion industry in Ontario (2004) and a key sector in the provincial economy. To put this in perspective you can take the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) generated by every farm and agricultural operation in Ontario, add the output of every mine in Ontario, then add the output of every forest and logging poeration and – if you wish – you can throw in the output of commercial fishing and hunting perators and you still wouldn’t reach the total GDP that the tourism industry generates.

Who is André Rieser?
